Dear citizens of Kurdistan

To international forums, associations, countries in the global coalition against ISIS, and the United Nations, As you may be aware, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ terrorist army recently carried out a missile attack on Erbil, the capital of peace and coexistence, in a reprehensible act.

The Iranian regime’s unfounded justification is the alleged presence of an Israeli base in Kurdistan. However, both senior Kurdistan Regional Government officials and investigations by the Iraqi Federal Government have consistently disproven the existence of Israeli bases in Kurdistan.

The reality is that the Tehran regime, along with its nuclear leaders and supporters, lacks the courage to face its opponents directly. Instead, they resort to cowardly missile and drone attacks on Kurdish civilians. Simultaneously, they have turned Iran into a giant prison, oppressing its people, mainly the Kurds, through unjustified martyrdoms and assassinations.

The irresponsible policies of the Tehran authorities have not only destabilised the entire region but have also led to the collapse and persecution of Iran at regional and international levels, leaving its people hungry and destitute.

It is the primary duty of the Iraqi Federal Government to condemn this violation and respond firmly. Simultaneously, the international community, with a specific call to the United States, is urged to take concrete steps against the terrorism perpetrated by the Revolutionary Guards, putting an end to these violations.

The Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation strongly condemns Iran’s terrorist acts against Kurdistan and plans to organise demonstrations in protest of these violations in the coming days.

Wishing prosperity to Kurdistan,
Peace be upon the souls of the martyrs.
